Horror Rhyme

Cécile Cabanac

A duo of investigators will make children finally count... even if their voices were never heard.

A couple is renovating the house they just bought near Versailles, for their family which is expecting a sixth member. One night, he discovers 3 walled-up corpses of children... Chief Inspector Virginie Sevran is called to the crime scene. The stupefaction gives way to a trying and sordid investigation, that will lead Sevran and her partner Biolet to investigate broken families in tough situations, and that will take them into the intricate system of child welfare service. What really happened in the house, immediately nicknamed the House of horror by the media? At the same time, the two detectives have to make time for their own families: Biolet's wife is giving birth to a baby boy 2 years after they suffered a still birth, and Sevran's husband and eight-olddaughter wish to spend more time with her. One thing is sure, nothing will ever be the same again...

Cécile Cabanac was a TV journalist for seventeen years (France 2, 5, TF1, M6, Arte...). She left Paris a few years ago to go back to the Basque Country with her husband and son.
