Sweat, misery and violence: Strangers Keep Out reinvents the western genre with realism.

June 1866, California. Crimson Dyke is a USSS agent, the prestigious division of the Treasury Department created after the war. His mission is to stop the forgers and crooks acting in the West. As he passes through a city, a dead body is found. Crimson wants to step in, but the local authorities won't let him. Other crimes are soon committed, awakening fear and hate among people. Crimson decides to investigate, even if he is tracked down by corrupt sheriffs and bounty hunters.

Michaël Mention was born in 1979. Passionate about drawing and writing from a very early age, his detective trilogy was awarded with the Grand Prix du Roman Noir at the Beaune International Festival in 2013 and with the Prix Transfuge Meilleur Espoir Polar in 2015. His novel Power received the Grand Prix at the Festival Sans Nom in 2018.
