HOW TO START WRITING

Bertrand Leclair

This treatise does not aim to teach but to transmit the art of writing, to help one throw oneself into this crazy and often very disturbing adventure.
It is the fruit of the author's double experience: the writing of some twenty books, but also the exercise of transmission within the framework of the workshops of the NRF or Sciences-Po.

Bertrand Leclair is a French novelist, essayist and playwright born in Lille in December 1961. He is the father of four children, including a deaf daughter who inspired his writing, notably with the novel Malentendus (Actes Sud, 2013) or the play Héritages directed by Emmanuelle Laborit.
