When Valentine is appointed to carry out her mother's last wishes, she doesn't know what she is in for: invite each of the heirs, distant cousins she has never met, to lunch and interview them. Valentine moves in the family home in Bergerac and the visits start as a procession of funny, moving, heartbreaking and endearing meetings.
