The Wind Gate

Jean-Marc Souvira

The weight of traditions shouldn't be underestimated.

A WWI military cemetery in the north of France. Two old men - one from China, the other from Israel - are visiting the grave of a Chinese soldier to pay their respects.
They are each at the head of criminal organizations in their countries, whose power have extended to France. Therefore, their presence on French territory does not bode well.
Recently, the settling of scores between these two communities has intensified an escalation of violence that seems to be out of control.
But perhaps peace can be brought back by going back to the beginning, when friendships began, in the trenches.

Jean-Marc Souvira was a divisional commissioner in the Judicial Police for more than twenty-five years. He was the head of the Central Office for the Repression of Human Trafficking, then head of the Central Office for the Repression of Serious Financial Crime.
