MYSTERIES IN PARIS

The Père Lachaise Mystery

Claude Izner

Paris, at the end of the 19th Century. Victor Legris is in his 30's and works as a bookseller. He regularly finds himself confronted with mysteries and that's good luck because he loves acting as a detective.

Paris 1890, at the time of the influenza epidemic, a young maid turns up at Victor Legris' bookstore. Her employer (who is also Victor's former mistress) seems to have disappeared. She is said to have changed a lot since she lost her husband. She has been seeing strange people and has been attracted to spiritualism...

Claude Izner is the pen name of two sisters, Liliane Korb and Laurence Lefèvre, who are both second-hand booksellers along the Seine.
